Thermal Physics
6.2.1 Thermal Energy Transfer
Q = m c ΔT
Q: heat energy (J)
m: mass (kg)
c: Specific heat capacity
ΔT: change in temperature (oC or oK)
Specific heat capacity: the amount of energy needed to change the temperature of 1 kg of a material by 1 oC.
Specific Latent Heat: amount of energy needed to change the state of 1 kg of a material.
